LiYF Treatment

  • Diet & lifestyle improvement is the first line of treatment. Low carb & high protein diet, especially plant protein* is recommended.

  • Initially Metformin was used to increase insulin sensitivity which gave partial results. Clomiphene citrate was used to improve fertility.

  • Then m-inositol along with DCI came as a wonder drug and became the standard treatment, some times with metformin.

  • 4gm of m-inositol is the recommended daily dosage.

  • 200 IU of Folic acid + 2gm of m-lnositol has given good results as per German study.

  • Vitamin D, Mg & Zn has shown improvement in PCOS.

Plant Proteins and PCOS - Protein is also crucial when managing PCOS through diet. Aside from supporting muscle growth, metabolism, and providing sustained energy, protein also helps regulate blood sugar, insulin production and control weight. Whole plant - based proteins have a number of advantages over animal proteins. They are free of cholesterol and saturated fats, high in fibre, vitamins, minerals, Phytochemicals and essential amino acids. They're also free from residual hormones which may be present in animal proteins.

Myoinstol in the right quantity with complimentary ingredients can help with PCOS.

The six main symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) commonly include:

Irregular Periods

Infrequent, prolonged, or unpredictable menstrual cycles, often due to irregular ovulation.

Excess Androgen Levels

High levels of androgens (male hormones) can lead to symptoms like acne, excess facial and body hair (hirsutism), and sometimes hair thinning on the scalp.

Difficulty Losing Weight

Many women with PCOS experience weight gain, particularly around the abdomen, and may find it challenging to lose weight.

Ovarian Cysts

Polycystic ovaries appear enlarged and contain many small, fluid-filled sacs (follicles) that surround the eggs, although not all women with PCOS have ovarian cysts.

Insulin Resistance

Insulin resistance is common in PCOS, where the body struggles to use insulin effectively. This can lead to higher blood sugar levels and may increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Fertility Challenges

Due to irregular ovulation, many women with PCOS may have difficulties conceiving.
