Menstrual Cycles

There are many causes of irregular periods, ranging from stress to more serious underlying medical conditions.

Menstrual cycles generally last between four to seven days and occur approximately every 28 days. Irregular menstrual cycles may include instances where the intervals between periods are shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days, the absence of three or more consecutive menstrual periods, or menstrual flow that is significantly heavier or lighter than usual.

Our modern life-style adversely affects the hypothalamus, a region of the brain, the seat of emotions, which regulates the nervous system and pituitary gland. Imbalance in the regulation of reproductive hormones by the hypothalamus or the pituitary gland or problems in the ovary can cause

various menstrual and ovulation disorders.

The main symptoms of menstrual disorder commonly include:

Dysmenorrhea

Pelvic pain and cramping may start before a menstrual period and last for days into it. You also may have lower back and stomach pain.

LiYF Treatment

Hormone imbalance is the root cause in most cases but other causes such as micronutrient deficiencies, poor blood flow in uterus or physical causes like endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and other pelvic diseases are common too.

Herbs like Shatavari, Ashoka and Ashwagandha balance hormones naturally by working on glands like Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Adrenal etc to balance HPO & HPA axis.

It is always preferable to treat these conditions with natural remedies to avoid side-effects.

cramps, low or infrequent bleeding.

We also have a treatment without Gingko Biloba and this is recommended for women with heavy and prolonged bleeding.
